Your information has already been migrated into this new compliance standard and we were able to do this with <em>very little<\/em> noticeable downtime. The main reason for this improvement was to help enhance database performance and finally be able to offer <strong>advance searching <\/strong>and <strong>audit reports<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"margin-left: 10px; margin-right: 10px;\" title=\"Compliance Archive - Advanced Search\" src=\"http:\/\/www.exchangedefender.com\/blog\/images\/ComplianceArchive\/compliance_advancedsearch.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"364\" height=\"455\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To give you an idea, on<strong> the old architecture an advanced report would take roughly<\/strong> <strong>20-30 minutes<\/strong> and would typically <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">time out<\/span> due to (multiple refreshes) or a user\u2019s  browser becoming <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">unresponsive<\/span>. So before we built the GUI to allow for  these searches, we had to get this under control.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Now with the new system not only do searches come back typically within<\/strong> <strong>3-4 minutes<\/strong>,  they are scheduled jobs. So you type in your search, submit  your  criteria and either wait or check back once they have finished.  The  best part is, you can <strong>REPEAT your searches<\/strong> once they\u2019ve finished!
