In Internet Explorer, open the Tools menu, then click Internet Options.

Select the Connections tab.

Click the LAN Settings button.

Uncheck the “Automatically detect settings” box.

Calendar:

To synchronize a SharePoint Calendar to Outlook, navigate to the Calendar in Internet Explorer and select the “Calendar Tools> Calendar” ribbon bar, then select Connect to Outlook.

After you select Connect to Outlook, you will receive a warning from Internet Explorer about the synchronization request. Select Allow.

After you tell Outlook to allow the Synchronization, you may have to authenticate against the SharePoint server.

After you allow the Synchronization your Calendar items will be downloaded to your Calendar view or under the SharePoint List category in Outlook.

Contacts:

To synchronize SharePoint Contacts to Outlook, navigate to the Contacts in Internet Explorer and select the “List Tools> List” ribbon bar, then select Connect to Outlook.

After you select Connect to Outlook, you will receive a warning from Internet Explorer about the synchronization request. Select Allow.

You will then receive a warning from Outlook about the synchronization request. Select Yes.

After you tell Outlook to allow the Synchronization, you may have to authenticate against the SharePoint server.

After you allow the Synchronization your contacts will be downloaded to your Contacts view or under the SharePoint List category in Outlook.

Document Libraries

To synchronize SharePoint Document Libraries to Outlook, navigate to the library in Internet Explorer and select the “Library Tools> Library” ribbon bar, then select Connect to Outlook.

After you select Connect to Outlook, you will receive a warning from Internet Explorer about the synchronization request. Select Allow.

You will then receive a warning from Outlook about the synchronization request. Select Yes.

After you tell Outlook to allow the Synchronization, you may have to authenticate against the SharePoint server.

After you accept the Outlook Security warning, there will be a new Category of items in your “Folder List” labeled as “SharePoint Lists” – your document library items will be downloaded to the respective folder of the “Document Library” in SharePoint.

To resolve, follow the below steps:

Open command prompt as administrator
Change directory to “$officeInstallPath\Office14” (cd “\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14″)
Type “cscript ospp.vbs /dstatus” and hit enter

If the above returns an error along the lines about “Unable to contact KMS”, then run the following command

“cscript /inpkey:XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX”  (Replacing XXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX with the license key provided through Service Manager”

If no warnings or errors are presented, you can then attempt to activate Outlook

“cscript /act”

1: Open up the address book
2: Select settings
3: Turn wireless reconciliation off, and after a few minutes turn it back on.

If the above process does not work you can optionally delete the Desktop[SYNC] service books and request that we resend them.  To do this:

1:  In the device options, click Advanced Options.
2:  Click Service Book
3:  Highlight a service book
4:  Press the Menu key
5:  Click Delete

To add a password to your Windows vault

1. Open User Accounts by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking User Accounts and Family Safety (or clicking User Accounts, if you are connected to a network domain), and then clicking User Accounts.
2. In the left pane, click Manage your credentials.
3. Click Add a Windows credential.
4. In the Internet or network address box, type the name of the computer on the network that you want to access. This can be the NetBIOS name (example: server1) or DNS name (example: server1.fabrikam.com.
5. In the User name and Password boxes, type the user name and password that you use for that computer or website, and then click OK.

1. Log in as a Service Provider to admin.exchangedefender.com.
2. Hover Mouse over Management, click on Domains.
3. Use the drop down menu, next to the desired domain, and select Change Configuration.
4. Set Encryption as “enabled.”
5. Once back at the domain listing you can now “Login as Administrator”.
6. Hover Mouse over Configuration, and select Encryption, now you can manage all of the settings.

Prerequisites:

Mac OSX v10.6 or greater

Autodiscover CNAME record in the clients domain name server for the primary domain

Login to the clients DNS control panel for their domain name (The domain name in their email address) and create a new record:

Type: CNAME
Hostname: autodiscover
Destination: autodiscover.servername.com

You will need to replace “servername” with the name of the Exchange server that the client is on:

Example: autodiscover.louie.exchangedefender.com ; autodiscover.dewey.exchangedefender.com; autodiscover.huey.exchangedefender.com; autodiscover.europe.exchangedefender.com; etc

After the DNS record is created, you must verify that the Mac client can discover the record by opening either a browser and going to http://autodiscover.clientdomain.com or by running an nslookup from terminal

Once the DNS record is discoverable by the Mac, you can attempt to add the profile into mail.app needing only the user’s full name, email address, and password

After filling in the required information, mail.app will automatically try to contact autodiscover.clientdomain.com and if discovered, mail.app will pull all the necessary server information

Unfortunately the error is on the clients Exchange server and not ExchangeDefender. NDR messages received with the status code of ‘Message rejected as spam by Content Filtering’ get sent when the recipient MTA is running Exchange 2007 with Content Filtering enabled and deemed the message as “Spam.” The specific rejection the mailer received is an error produced by Exchange 2007 servers (Which all ED servers are *nix)The message was rejected by contact filtering and this means that Content Filtering (formally IMF) is still enabled (it is enabled by default) on the server and rejecting mail.

Solution: If you control the message recipient’s mail server and you are utilizing ExchangeDefender for the domain, then you can safely disable Content Filtering by running the following command from Exchange shell:

Set-ContentFilterConfig -SCLRejectEnabled:$false -SCLDeleteEnabled:$false -SCLQuarantineEnabled:$false -Enabled:$false
